Who are Batushka?

The band

Batushka is a black metal band from Białystok, Poland, started in 2015 by Krzysztof Drabikowski. The name means father, a title for an Orthodox priest, and every lyric is in Church Slavonic. After a split in 2018, two line-ups used the name until 2024, and the one fronted by Bartłomiej Krysiuk now plays as Patriarkh. Batushka Merch puts the icon art and release designs from that story on tees, hoodies and sweatshirts.
